Karaage is said to have originated in 1926 at Restaurant Toyoken located in Beppu, Japan. Originally referred to as Toriten or Chicken Tempura, the original recipe has evolved from a batter, to a dry style coating of wheat flour and aromats.
We've taken this Japanese staple to another level with yet another triumphant collaboration with our good friends at Chaco Ramen. Introducing Chaco Ramen X Vic’s Meat Karaage Kit, our do-it yourself version of this Japanese classic.
Chaco Ramen’s Karaage seasoning contains a house blend of All Spice, Paprika, Ginger, Onion Powder and Garlic Powder. Perfectly matched with tender and succulent Nichols Ethical Free Range Chicken Thigh Fillet, all you need to do is dice the chicken into 5 cm chunks, add to the seasoning pack, shake and fry.

Serve with a wedge of lemon and kewpie mayonnaise.
