Peking Duck Pancake Kit
Reconstruct this much loved Chinese classic at home
Indulge in a centuries old Asian classic at home with our expertly prepared Peking Duck Pancake Kit. Aylesbury Pekin breed duck Breast is glazed in a mixture of red rice vinegar, star anise & cassia bark then slowly dry roasted for a minimum 12 hours to achieve tender plump breast meat and a crispy skin texture.
Served alongside a selection of accompaniments that have been carefully chosen and prepared to best compliment your Peking Duck Pancake experience. Fresh house-made pancakes, crunchy pickled cucumber, julienned pickled ginger, julienned fresh baby leek and house-made thick hoisin sauce, help to elevate this dish to a truly sumptuous level.
It's a breeze to prepare just heat, slice, wrap and serve.
This meal kit feeds 4 to 6 people and includes:
400g Glazed & Roasted Aylesbury Peking Duck Breast Fillet (2 x pieces)
12 x pieces House-made Pancakes
Pickled Cucumber
Pickled Ginger
Julienned baby leek
House-made Hoisin Sauce
(Approx. 800g in total)
Heating instructions:
Oven
Preheat oven to 190°C
Place the Duck Breast on a foil-lined tray skin side up, and bake in the oven for 7 minutes, turning the tray 180° halfway through cooking so the colour is nice and even
Remove the Duck and allow to rest for 2 minutes.
Stove top
Gently warm the Duck Breast in a cast iron or heavy based pan over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side.
Pancakes
Steam pancakes over a small pot of simmering water, or in the microwave on a covered plate for 30 seconds. Keep warm.
Carve breast fillets and slice into 1cm thick slices. Serve with condiments and pancakes.
