Kurobuta Berkshire

Exclusive to Vic's Premium Quality Meat, rare breed Kurobuta Berkshire Pork is farmed in Northern New South Wales. Kurobuta Pork is one of the most highly prized meats available and is internationally renowned for being of exceptional high quality. Often remarked as being the Wagyu of the pork world. This pork comes from an ancient breed of British pig, known as the Black Berkshire.

Pink hued and heavily marbled with a combination of a sweet, rich flavour, its delicate texture and an unbelievable level of juiciness make this distinct pork worthy of its prestigious reputation.

Kurobuta Pork is raised in the mild climate of Northern NSW where the pigs have a low stress lifestyle. The pigs are raised in eco pens and enjoy a blend of wheat, barley, sorghum, corn, soya bean meal, fish meal and macadamia nut meal. The meal ensure a subtle elegance of flavour within the marbling and the meat.

Kurobuta Pork is processed when the carcass weight is determined to be between 65kg-80kg. At processing the pork fat is graded.
