Vacuum skin packaging (VSP) packs enclose product like a second skin. VSP extends the shelf life of product due to the absence of oxygen which causes food to deteriorate rapidly and constrains product purge eliminating yield loss in food.
Product packaged using VSP technology can safely be stored refrigerated and frozen.

The brood stock is reared in water like no other in the world. The water is purely derived from natural springs. There are no pumps or other mechanisms involved – oxygenation is not mimicked. When the brood stock are old enough they are taken to the pristine waters of Marlborough Sounds New Zealand.
The rearing of Ora King revolves around negating/reducing environmental impact and sustainable farming. This can be seen evidently in the most critical part of the process which is fish density. Most salmon farms are producing a commodity product not aiming to be worlds best. Hence to achieve this status, the amount of salmon stocked in pens is minimal. Ora King stocking density is 2% salmon and 98% water - so a lot of room to move which subsequently means less stress on the fish, more oxygen and minimal waste impacting oceanic floors.
